Van Gogh Project

This project is based off of Vincent Van Gogh's Starry Night Painting. In this we used different colors of tissue paper to show some sort of landscape. My Van Gogh project is a scene in the dessert. I used warm colors like red, orange, and yellow to represent the heat. I tried using swirly paper to show the rolling heat.

I think that a project extension from this could be used in history project and have the students pick a date in history and do a scene from that time period. Example: roman times and the pillars.

I really liked this project because of its simplicity and because of the fun students could have doing this. Younger students are very easily amused and a project like this is sort of like Magic and will be fun for them. My project if you didn't know by the three clues is a lion! I also liked this because it showed me a different perspective on drawing pictures  by drawing them upside down. This could be a good lesson to use for math, by putting the correct answers of a problems behind the design.
