Elements and Principles of Art

I chose this picture to show good
value in the picture. Because of the
3d shape of the actual object you can
see shadows which shows lightand
dark tones depending on where
the picture would be taken.

I took this picture to represent
organic shapes. It is a bush in
in the snow. I like how the picture
shows a 3d shape becuase of the
snow through out the bush.



I chose this picture showing
two simple, thin lines
that cross each other.

I like this picture because of the space
that it shows between the two objects
in the picture, snow and bench. The snow on
the bottom half and the little bit of snow inside
each space shows where the negative space is.



This picture is a picture of
a fire taken in the student
center. It is a picture that
shows rhythm and movement.
Because of the movement
the fire looks blurry.


I think a good extension activity for this project is just to do this exact activity and use it to judge the students on their understanding of the different elements of art.
